PVWC will begin shutting off delinquent accounts on March 17, 2025

(Clifton, NJ – March 14, 2025) – Passaic Valley Water Commission (PVWC) will begin shutting off water accounts with overdue balances on Monday, March 17, 2025, following the end of New Jersey’s moratorium on utility shutoffs, which ends tomorrow, March 15.

The commission encourages customers who are behind on their water bills to take immediate action to avoid disruptions to their service by contacting our customer service team at 973-340-4300 (option 2).

Payment Options:
• In Person: Visit PVWC’s payment window located at 1525 Main Avenue, Clifton, Monday-Friday 7:30a-6:00p. Payment by cash, check, money order or credit card is accepted. PVWC also offers in-person appointments to help customers sign up for interest-free payment plans and discuss their water bills. Please contact customer service to schedule an appointment.
• By Phone: Call us at 973-340-4300 to make payment by phone through our 24/7 automated system or with a customer service representative during normal business hours.
• Online: Visit pvwc.com to make an online payment with a checking account or credit card.
• By Mail: Checks or money orders can be made out and mailed to: Passaic Valley Water Commission, 1525 Main Avenue, Clifton, NJ 07011.
• Payment Plan: PVWC offers no-interest payment plans. Please contact customer service at 973-340-4300 to discuss payment plan options and avoid service disconnection.
