Passaic Valley Water Commission strives to produce the best water quality possible, as well as the best customer service. To help our customers pay their bill and resolve issues with greater flexibility, PVWC is pleased to offer different opportunities for customers:

AutoPay: Customers must enroll or re-enroll for automatic payments. In September 2025, PVWC implemented a new payment system.  All customers who were previously enrolled in autopay must re-enroll in the new system.

By Phone: Customers may pay bills with an American Express, Discover, MasterCard, Visa or e-check by phone. Call 973-340-4300 or 1-877-772-7077 24 hours a day / 7 days a week to make a payment.

Digital Wallet Payments: Pay easily using PayPal, PayPal Credit, Venmo, Apple Pay, or Google Pay.

Drop Box: Drop your payment off at our 24-hour Quick Pay Drop Box located at the entrance of our main office at 1525 Main Avenue, Clifton. Checks or money orders may be deposited here. Payments deposited in this box will be processed at the end of the day. Payments are posted the next business day. You may use this service as long as you are not scheduled for disconnection.

In-Person: Customers may pay bills at Passaic Valley Water Commission during regular business hours, Monday through Friday 7:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.  We also offer in-person appointments Mondays and Friday, by appointment only.

In-Store Payments at Walmart: Pay your PVWC bill at any Walmart location with cash, debit, or UCards.

Mail-In Payment: For your convenience, we include a self-addressed envelope with every bill. If you prefer to pay by mail, send a check or money order (no cash) and include your statement. Please be sure to write your customer - account number on the check or money order. Please mail your payment to:

Pay By Text: If you are a registered customer who likes to pay bills online, you can now do so via text Simply go to your account in the Customer Portal at PVWC Payment Portal Login, select the Pay By Text icon and follow the quick and easy steps. If you are not registered and want to start paying by text, simply register and then follow the steps for Pay By Text.

Video Chat: We realize that sometimes it is difficult to understand what steps to take when a representative is explaining how to complete a task online. For our customers' convenience, they can now ask for a video chat with the customer service representative and see step-by-step how to perform the needed functions on their account.

Water bills are due upon receipt and are considered delinquent if not paid by the due date shown on the bill. Passaic Valley Water Commission offers a variety of payment options. Please contact PVWC to speak with a Customer Service Representative for payment options.
