Passaic Valley Water Commission Announces Boil Water Advisory Lifted for Almost 77,000 Customers – Bottled Water Still Available Through Weekend

**FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE**

(Clifton, N.J. – August 15, 2025) – Passaic Valley Water Commission (PVWC), in conjunction with the NJDEP, has lifted the Water Boil Advisory for almost 77,000 customers, specifically in parts of Paterson including Broadway and all streets South of Broadway, East of Spruce St and West of Rt 20. Customers in Paterson NOT included in the specified area above and customers of Manchester Utilities Authority NJ1603001 in North Haledon and Haledon Boroughs remain under a Boil Water Advisory. PVWC staff is working closely with Haledon and North Haledon to recover their water service.

Residents and businesses in Paterson and Prospect Park that remain under a Boil Water Advisory should continue to boil water for at least one minute before using it for drinking, cooking, brushing teeth, washing dishes, or making ice—or use bottled water—until you are officially notified that the water quality is safe.

PVWC crews continue to work around the clock to complete repairs, restore water and conduct the necessary testing to ensure the water is safe to drink. Please be aware that PVWC crews have badges and uniforms. Please do not open your door to any unauthorized visitors. If anyone comes to your home claiming to do water quality tests and do not have the proper credentials, do not let them in and call your local police department.
