PVWC Issues Boil Water Advisory for Approx. 300 Paterson Customers

**Update as of 01/07/2026 at 10:00 AM: Repairs have been made to the 6-inch water main and water has been restored to the area. Boil Water Advisory remains in effect until further notice.**
(Paterson, N.J. – January 6, 2026) – Due to a 6-inch water main break near 79 Montgomery Street, Passaic Valley Water Commission (PVWC) has issued a boil water advisory for approximately 300 residents in the City of Paterson. This boil water advisory is limited to Montgomery Street from Summer Street to Rosa Parks Boulevard. Some residents in the area may experience low water pressure, discolored water or temporary loss of service.
This advisory is effective immediately and will remain in place until further notice.
