Clifton Hydrant Flushing & Valve Testing
2026 Quarterly Hydrant Flushing Notice
Clifton, NJ Residents: To help ensure the continued delivery of clean, safe drinking water, PVWC began its first round of quarterly hydrant flushing on Monday, March 9, 2026, and will continue through approximately Tuesday, March 31, 2026, between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM. Flushing will not occur on weekends. This routine maintenance is an important part of maintaining water quality throughout the system.
During flushing, some customers may experience temporary water discoloration or lower water pressure. If you notice discoloration after flushing has occurred in your area, please run your cold water tap(s) at the lowest level of your home until the water runs clear.
