The Cities of Paterson, Passaic and Clifton as well as the Borough of Prospect Park have initiated ordinances requiring the replacement of lead service lines to protect the health and welfare of its citizens. To meet the requirements of the ordinances, the Passaic County Water Commission has instituted a lead service line replacement program to replace lead service lines in these municipalities. The lead service line replacement program is free to all Passaic Valley Water Commission customers within these municipalities. The lead replacement ordinances for each municipality is linked below.
